About The Classics

Classics Elements awards recognize outstanding individual components or tactics of programs or campaigns that incorporate sound planning, execution and evaluation. PRSA Classics Elements are awarded in 17 categories and several subcategories. Students may enter Student Classics Elements in four categories.

Classics Programs awards recognize outstanding public relations programs that incorporate sound research, planning, execution and evaluation. PRSA Classics Programs are awarded in 14 categories and several subcategories. Students have the opportunity to submit entries in the Student Classics Programs in one category.

Finalists will be notified in February 2008 following judging of the Classics entries. Winners and runners-up (if selected) will be announced at the Classic Awards Banquet on March 27, 2008 at the Graves 601 Hotel (601 First Ave. N. - Minneapolis, MN 55403). Only one Classics Award may be awarded in each category and subcategory. No awards will be given in categories where judges determine that entries do not merit them. A certificate of excellence will be presented to all finalists whose entries are of Classics quality, but do not win the highest award.

Best of Show
Winning entries in all PRSA Classics Programs categories will be considered for the Best of Show award. The Best of Show winner represents the finest example of Minnesota's public relations programming. The recipient will be announced at the Classics Awards Banquet.
